State-of-the-art technologies for drying, granulation and coating processes
All Romaco Innojet and Tecpharm solutions for drying, granulating and coating fine solid particles are based on the air bed process, which was developed and internationally patented by Dr. h.c. Herbert Hüttlin and patented internationally. This optimises the fluidisation of solid particles and creates flow conditions that enable extremely gentle product circulation. The air fluidised bed process offers our customers significant advantages over pelletising and coating systems based on the conventional fluidised bed.
Drying:
In the fluid bed dryer, the drying process is carried out to reduce the moisture in the granules. Hot air is introduced through a vacuum created in the unit. The wet solids rise from the bottom and are suspended in a stream of air, remaining in a fluorinated state. The heat transfer and low humidity in direct contact with the wet granules allow the water or solvents to evaporate, reducing their moisture.
Granulation:
It was designed to optimise a wet granulation process. It is used to turn a heterogeneous mixture of fine powder into uniform granules with an increase in particle size and density. It also improves the product's flowability and compactness properties, within a short process time and with repeatability.
Coating:
By coating or encapsulating particles with liquids, the surface properties and thus the functionality of the particles can be changed. The coating agent can be a solution, a suspension or a melt. The sprayed product diffuses onto the surface of the particles and covers them.
Tablet Coating:
The Tablet Coater is a system for coating tablets. Its high technology allows automatic adjustment control of the flow, avoiding moisture, saving coating and optimising processing time. Innovative, high quality equipment certified by accredited bodies. Fully designed and built in Europe, according to regulatory requirements and GMP standards.
